Situated in an undulating landscape of pasture & hedgerowns with abundant woodland & wildlife which gives endless possibilities for walking, birdwatching, cycling or riding on an enormous network of paths & bridleways through woods, along farm tracks, by lakes, streams & rivers to sleepy villages & hamlets.

Despite its tranquility it is surprisingly accessible with flights from Stanstead or Southampton to Limoges, a very easy & stress free hours drive away. Its central location also makes it an ideal stopover for people en routre further south in France or Spain. There are also regular & fast trains from Paris (Gare Austerlitz) to La Souterraine, 20 minutes drive from Le Chez.

The house itself, which is situated in a courtyard, has a large sitting room with a dining and kitchen area, a bedroom which has one double and one single bed. There is also a double sofa bed downstairs.

The village is 1 km away and for more major shopping Gueret is 10 km away. There are plenty of lakes nearby for swimming in and at cooler times of year there are public pools in Gueret and La Souterraine. There are also tennis courts in the village.

We are in the middle of many VTT cycle tracks, perfect cycling country if you don't mind the hills.

There are plenty of historic monuments to visit, including chateaux and various museums in the area.

In October migrating birds (most notably cranes) fly overhead, a spectacular sight to witness. There is also a lookout nearby for a better view.

Cars can be hired from Limoges or a pick-up service can be arranged.

This cottage is situated in Parsac a village off the N145 between Gueret and Montlucon. The village has a bar, small shop and a bakery. Only 6 km from the town of Gouzon, which has all amenities, supermarket, bank, chemist etc.

Chez Nancy is situated in the Creuse, a rural and picturesque area of France that remains a simple and discreet region with many hidden treasures to discover there are 3810 km of rivers and 3000 hectares of lakes and pools in the region, with forests and fields galore. The Creuse is a haven of tranquility.

The swimming pool is 7m by 4m, fully equipped with loungers, chairs, garden swing seat, parasols etc.

The outside dining area is beneath the boughs of an old pear tree, which gives a romantic atmosphere

The cottage consists of a large lounge/dining area/ kitchen. Comfortably equipped with TV. The lounge has a large fireplace, constructed from local Granite and fitted with a wood burning stove. The dining area has a huge traditional carved French dresser and matching dining table and chairs. The kitchen is equipped with, washing machine, cooker, microwave, dishwasher and fridge freezer.

There is a separate sitting room with a small verandah overlooking the street. It is well furnished and has a double sofa bed, bookcase with books and boxed games. .

Upstairs there are 3 bedrooms, 2 double and 1 twin. One room overlooks the countryside the others the village. There is a large bathroom with loo, sink, bidet, bath with shower attachment.

The garden has plenty of furniture and a BBQ. To the front of the cottage there is further space to sit in the evening sun and have a game of table tennis, the table can be used in the spacious garage.

How Do 1 get there?

The location of the cottage is 55km drive from the A71; you will need to exit at junction 10 heading for Montlucon. Then take the N 145 towards Gueret; take the right turn off to Parsac, which is 6 km beyond Gouzon, just past Parsac gare.

There are flights to Limoges from Stansted, and is just 1 hour 15 minutes away.
