BY ROAD: From Calais
Shortly after you join the motorway direction Paris
you will see the signpost for the Paris Péage.
There are two tolls roads in total. Take this
road and as you near Paris and Charles de
Gaulle airport look for the blue signs for
Bordeaux. Follow the Bordeaux péage route
all the way until you see Bordeaux and Orleans
at which point start to follow the Orleans
signs. You will then see Vierzon, Chateauroux
and Limoges signs. Take the city centre route
to Chateauroux but before the town head in
the direction of La Chatre and Guéret. From
Chateauroux it is approximately 45 minutes
to La Chatre and a further 50 minutes to Guéret.
The first péage does have a booth for right hand drive cars and you can use your credit card to pay. The total for the two tolls will be approximately 30 euros.
Depending on the traffic around Paris the journey will take approximately 6 hours from Calais.
